The world is simply filled with troubles isn't it?

Every day, everywhere, everytime..I hear people complaining how tough it is to live in this world! Gosh, why have humans made the world such an unhappy place to live in. I know life is tough. I know school work is taxing, I know work is energy draining. I know human relationships are hard to grasp. I know the feeling of despair. I know what is helplesness. I know sometimes we just feel like running away to another land and not face our problems.

Because I've gone through all these too.

People can just go on complaining for hours about things. About pw, about sch friends, about their so-called responsibilities, only maybe just about an ugly comment made unintentionally. But all I can say, give and take. Forgive and forget. Pray.

Ask God for a heart that is always peaceful. That's what Rachel taught today during cell. There was once when we were doing on the fruits of the Spirit. Yup, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. When I came to peace, I didn't really pay much attention to it. Because I thought: I can feel peace what. I don't come from a broken family, my friends in school are ok, my life is not on the rocks or something. There's nothing much to ponder over.

How wrong was I. I neglected the part about inner peace. At times, we're not at war with the world, but ourselves. Like we blame ourselves for being so disoriented, so slow, so lazy, so screwed up......deep down we're screaming our lungs out because our life is so messed up. But for all you know, nobody messed it up for you, you messed it up yourself.

Actually I can give you a hundred and one reasons why we often find ourselves in a big mess. But I tell you, everything boils down to one main reason: we ran away from God. He said "come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest". Oh my goodness that's even better that having a break with a bar kit-kat. God wants to give you rest, but we say "no! I can't rest at this point of time. I want to go on, and I'm gonna make it somehow". Humans love to rely on their own strength. And by the time they realise they can't handle it alone, it's too late. Count the number of scars in their hearts caused by emotional hurt and depression.

If we have God in us, we will never feel tired, because His strength abides in us. Okay yes sometimes we might feel as if the fuel is running low. But God promises revival. Remember the song we used to sing "give me oil in my lamp", that's the idea. We need spiritual food. We need to thirst for Him.

And sometimes, don't always ask what can God do for you. Ask, what can you do for Him. Have you been an obedient boy/girl today, holding on to His word and being godly in your words and actions? Did you put a smile or a frown on God's face today? You know, it's not that difficult to make Him smile. If you would just take a couple of minutes talking to Him during your break, He would be so delighted. If you would just pick up the Bible from the table and read His word, the angels in heaven would be rejoicing. Alright, maybe not to that extreme, but recall, when was the last time you felt peace in your heart?

No grudges, no bitterness, no confusion, no "i feel like dying" thoughts.

If that's what you want, go back to Him. He will receive you with wide open arms. Don't struggle to live life by yourself.

Anyway, I don't know why am i typing all these today. Probably, God wants me to tell all of you that He's still there, don't place Him at the back of your head. Or maybe He only wanted to tell me that..lolz!

Hey I just thought of something funny. Why do we sing "I've got peace like a river"? Is a river very peaceful? I've always imagined rivers with water trickling down, then the trees beside them would sway about......hah!
